- How do I verify that a webhook request is authentic?
- Every request includes an X-Redreach-Signature header containing an HMAC-SHA256 hash of the payload. Your endpoint can compute the same hash using your webhook secret and compare. This prevents anyone from sending fake alerts to your endpoint.
- What happens if my webhook endpoint is down?
- Redreach retries failed deliveries with exponential backoff, up to 5 retries over several hours. If all retries fail, the alert is marked as failed in your delivery logs and you receive an email notification so you can investigate and replay the event.
- Can I send keyword alerts to multiple webhook endpoints?
- You can configure one webhook URL per project. If you need to fan out to multiple destinations, use an intermediary like Zapier or n8n to receive the webhook and route it to multiple downstream services.
- Is there a rate limit on Reddit keyword webhook deliveries?
- There is no hard rate limit from Redreach's side. Payloads are sent as they are detected. If you expect high volume, ensure your endpoint can handle concurrent requests. Using a queue-based receiver (like an AWS SQS URL or n8n webhook) is recommended for high-throughput setups.
- Do I need my own Reddit account to use Redreach?
